In summer of 2022, I found myself collecting images and physical objects that call to mind the ancient world — turquoise and lapis lazuli became fixations. I began intensively studying the art and design works of Issey Miyake one month before he passed away. My process of making any form of art always involves transmuting knowledge into a visual form, and letting that image become a portal to learning and heightened awareness of the interconnectedness of all things.
