Jess Parsons is a NYC-based curator of neo-ethereal art x fashion, and founder, creative director, and co-owner of Venus in Tokyo, a boutique featuring 40+ independent artists and designers based in NYC, Tokyo, Paris, London, and beyond.

Jess has always been an artist, visual researcher, and collector: of books, Japanese art x fashion, 2000s jewelry, art found via the Internet, kitsch accessories, random princess trinkets, dolls, etc. Her bedroom and nightstands spilling with jewelry always told this intimate story of an someone carefully studying beautiful objects. Like a private, bubblegum pearl pink gallery, Jess has been curating a collection of her own pretty chaos of oddities, handmade and vintage jewelry, clothing, and art that pull you into this soft, ethereal, feminine dreamworld born from online to irl.

Now, just one year old in 2026, Jess’ boutique Venus in Tokyo holds the intention of operating like a fashion gallery, presenting an ever-changing collection of bespoke, handmade treasures from around the world like a magic wardrobe and jewelry box nestled in NYC.

Venus in Tokyo, as a concept, was born in 2023 β€” the year Jess hosted and curated her first art x fashion pop-up in New York with fellow artist friends in Los Angeles, Italy, Chicago, and beyond.

In 2025, Venus in Tokyo was birthed as a physical space in Brooklyn, New York with long-time creative partner Jordan Figueroa β€” Venus is a vessel for the future art, fashion, and dreams of those who never stop dreaming or creating.
